So it’s been a shamefully long time since I’ve updated. Yikes. In my defense, my life has been in what seems to be utter chaos in the last three weeks. Change is a-brewing up in here and I can’t say I like it at the moment but I’m hoping things will fall into place and leave a bit more time for this. Because I like this.
Over the weekend I drove down to central Arkansas to shoot Kayleigh’s seniors before heading to a dear friend’s wedding in Arlington with my pal Kyle. Kayleigh was an absolute joy to work with -plus she has a great laugh. We got up at the butt crack of dawn (Bri edition, that is) to shoot and finished right before it started sprinkling. Perfect timing if you ask me! One of many things that I love about senior shoots is how chill and easy going seniors are -they’re usually up for anything and they aren’t afraid to show off some personality. I guess something I struggle with though is finding that line between coaxing them into themselves versus pushing them to a moment that isn’t them. Do any of you have that problem? I didn’t really have that problem with Kayleigh but I find myself worrying about that when it’s people I’ve just met and never interacted with before -especially wedding parties. Anyway, just something that’s been on my mind. If you have any advice for me, let me have it pretty please! :)
Kayleigh, thanks for a beautiful and fun Saturday morning back in the Motherland. You’re a sweet and beautiful gal!
